There are many activities on campus that that require constant vigilance to keep students, faculty, staff and visitors protected. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) technology serves as a foundation for campus crime prevention efforts. The detection and analysis has become more sophisticated, and surveillance cameras have increased the power to monitor indoor and outdoor locations across campus. Given the capabilities of CCTV to not only provide high-resolution continuous footage, but also employ analytics, the move to this technology may be inevitable for colleges and universities.
