Problems We Solve

iXP’s clients rely on us to solve and/or prevent mission critical issues that could negatively impact their emergency response.  While much of our reputation rests in the role of chief solution architect and manager of the disparate functions within an emergency communications environment, iXP also works with clients every day to solve many different types of individual problems, a number of which are described below.  iXP tackles each problem using a combination of analysis, planning, design, implementation, maintenance and/or support.

Campus Safety: iXP works with College and University Public Safety and Security Departments across the country to help improve and enhance the overall safety of their campuses.  Utilizing a unique public safety methodology, iXP helps campuses by assessing the existing environment and notification systems, identifying risks, and proposing recommendations that can enhance the technology, facility, and operations of the Public Safety or Security Department.   iXP then develops a business case for the campus administration and utilizes a phased approach to implement the recommended changes and improvements.  A phased approach offers the flexibility and predictability often needed for consideration in the key areas of project funding and budgetary timelines.

Active Shooter on Campus:iXP has expertise in Critical Incident Planning, which includes Active Shooter on Campus seminars.  iXP offers a workshop designed to assist Campus, Municipal, County or State public safety first responders to develop or examine their existing operational plans, to assure that they have the depth to manage a catastrophic event that threatens the lives of students, staff, and visitors.  The workshop starts with a comprehensive review of the school shooting at Columbine High School by the Operations Chief (Chuck Burdick), at the time, of the Littleton Fire Department who was a key member of the Incident Command team.  The lessons learned at this tragic event drive the critical analysis that workshop participants perform throughout the day as they examine the strengths and vulnerabilities of their existing plans.
