Bill Metro has been working in the field of public safety since 1982 and provides executive leadership for all aspects of iXP's business. Bill is primarily responsible for the successful execution of the company's strategy and direction, as well as financial and operational oversight. He is also responsible for implementing methodologies, systems, and procedures that improve iXP's overall business performance and client satisfaction.

Bill's background includes an impressive combination of consulting, technology, and outsourcing experience. He has worked on numerous projects in both the public and private sectors that have delivered improvements to challenging public safety and emergency communications problems. Bill began his career as a software developer and continued solving problems of increasing technical and management complexity throughout his professional career. He has held positions at:

  • King County Police Department, Green River Task Force, Seattle, WA.
  • Executive Consulting Group, Seattle, WA.
  • Metro Consulting, Maple Valley, WA.
  • PRC Incorporated, McLean, VA. (now part of Northrop Grumman)
  • MCI, New York, NY.
  • EDS, Plano, TX. (now part of HP)

In June of 2010, Bill was appointed by the Mayor of Princeton Township to be a Commissioner on the Joint Consolidation/Shared Services Study Commission of Princeton Borough and Princeton Township, representing the citizens of the township. Bill was also selected to be the Chairman of the Shared Police Services Subcommittee which is tasked with guiding the evaluation of both police department's capability of full consolidation, or some form of shared police operations. In these two roles, Bill will help lead the Commission's efforts to explore the possibility of either full municipal consolidation of the two different forms of government in Princeton, or implementing various shared services such as Shared Police and/or Shared Public Works. If the governing bodies approve the commission's final recommendations, the final decision would go to the voters in a referendum in November, 2011.

A founding owner of iXP Corporation, Bill has been a member of the Board of Directors since the company's inception in 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Science in General Science, from Seattle University.
